Proud papa…

Img_0014_3Img_0015 Alright, tonight on the eve of the eve of Christmas, I am officially welling with pride  because of the following.  While sitting in the living room reading, I glanced over at my two year old Anna and noticed she was working her way through Miroslav Volf’s, Free of Charge.  Those who know me well will understand the feeling of elation I have at witnessing such a moment.  That she grows up to love the Lord above all else and that she applies her heart and mind to exploring the faith and it’s meaning on her has been my repetitive prayer for her….ahhh, what a moment…Christmas has come early for Daddy…who cares if she can’t read yet.

I think our two-year old girls could be friends! Mercy was checking out my copy of John Goldingay’s Old Testament Theology and I felt those same emotions. Blessings on your little girl!

Thanks Erika. The more I stop to listen to her, the more I see how she is growing and how (and this scares me sometimes) she is looking to me for guidance. It is a great feeling when a little one picks up on someting a parent loves. I guess that’s how God feels about us when we pick up on the things of the Kingdom; justice, mercy, etc…
