Here I sit and write my very first blog entry as a born again…again believer. Tis the equivalent of a second conversion experience. I could no longer stand the heckles and humiliation associated with the PC guy on those apple commercials. I have switched to mac. Today I acquired a macbook [Edit: It’s not a pro]. It’s a bit of a change, but I like the look and feel. I am posting in a trial edition of Ecto and it seems nice as well. Thanks to Bill Kinnon for the tips and encouragement toward the mac. I truly feel postmodern and emergent now…
It’s black…it’s cool. Now I just need to figure out how to use this thing…
Keep us up to date on the Mac experience. I want to do the same – go Apple. My science sons scoff at me, ridicule me, and in general try to shame me into staying PC. My friends who go Apple love it. My PC friends tolerate their PCs. I want to be in love!!!!
Welcome to the world of apple. I really like my 17 inch apple. Enjoy!
Thanks for note guys, I can see why people who turn to macs become mac evangelists…this thing is too easy and too fun….
lol you didn’t become born again…again, you’re now a “backslider” :-)
You caved to peer pressure…lol… I use a PC now, but actually I do like MACs, I had one of the first Mac’s ever made, you know the kind 512K yes that’s K not Megs. No hard drive, what’s a hard drive. An internal and external floppy, monochrome screen… oh those were the days. Have Fun!
Backsliding and caving and converting…that’s what I did all right. I couldn’t resist the pressure any longer….I just set up the airport base station and am commenting wireless, how cool is that? John, 512k was huge back then…
